The Gran Fondo World Championship® is the premier event for amateur cyclists, attracting around 1,000 participants from all over the world.

In previous years, the event has been held in prominent locations such as Oslo, Norway (2018), Indianapolis, USA (2019), Andorra (2022), Seorak and Seoul, South Korea (2023), and Gran Canaria, Spain (2024). Future destinations include Durban, South Africa (2026), and Colorado Springs, USA (2027). However, our goal is to bring the championship to Central Asia for 2025.

Promote the city and its heritage as an exceptional cultural and tourist showcase.

This event is expected to have a significant economic impact on Almaty, with an estimated 250 hotel nights booked by international and regional visitors, in addition to generating demand for various tourism-related services within the city.

The World Championship format of the Gran Fondo World Tour will soon be coming to Kazakhstan.

We have been working in partnership with Mr. Serik Turdaliyev and his team at the Zhetysu Region Cycling Federation on the Gran Fondo Kazakhstan - Tour of Zhetysu since 2016. And Mr Turdaliyev are our official and exclusive representative for the country since 2016. Our personal connection to your city dates back to 2012, when we began providing consultancy support to Shymbulak Ski Resort.
