Near one thousand participants for second edition of Cycle No Limits Sea Otter Europe Cyclo event presented by Gosth, part of Gran Fondo World Tour ® as Spain representative.
With a two days program, the cyclists enjoy with a partialy closed roads track around Girona City mountains with short but explosive up hills where the former pro cyclists as Joaquim “Purito Rodriguez, Oscar Pujol (team UKYO Japan) or Dorian Gordon (Cofidis) push fast to challenge the current leader of world Tour series, the norwegian Jonas Orset.
The stages was divided in a first long day of 160 km with four 2nd category mountain pass and a second day with two potions of 100 and 140 km with 3 mountain passes. The weather respect the cyclists second day, when the participants just suffered few rain sections but a moderated themperature.
Start and finsih line was inserted in the midle of Sea Otter Europe Festival, where the top brands presented new models and tencendes of cycling industry , receiving more than 30.000 thousand visitors during the weekend and hosting events of Mountainbiking, Gravel, trials and kids races.
Now the Gran Fondo World Tour ® ranking have an strong leader , Jonas Orset from Norway with three events participation have more than one thousand points to next cyclists on overall rank. In women, Choe Geeniyong form South Korea, keep the lead but will have serious competitors next weekend in Norwegian event Styrkeproven.
Styrkeproven will host 6 th stop of world series for man and even host Gran Fondo World Championship Ladies Edition where the winner will take the leader “maglia” on the run for 10.000 USD prize por woman.
